Chimera Technologies was started by two resolute entrepreneurs.
It started as a garage shop converted into a development center
that could accommodate 3-4 people. Bags the first development
work on a web based automation system for the Quality department
of Siemens Information Systems, Bangalore.
Feb 2001
Incorporates Chimera Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Moved the
development premises to a three bedroom apartment.
April 2001
Starts software consulting business. Signs up the first customer
for staff augmentation services. Still continues to add more
customers, which includes GE, Agere Systems and a list of other
clients. Develops a system for the Central Public Works
department deployed in four centers.
Year 2002
Develops the preliminary version of an e-Learning product called
"e-trainer" that captures the proceedings of a traditional
classroom integrating touch sensitive boards, video cameras and
microphones.
Jan 2003
Developed several e-Learning applications that includes custom
learning management systems, evaluations systems, virtual
classroom solutions, WBT's, library management systems. Installs
such systems at GE and IIM – a premier educational institute at
Bangalore. Selected as one of the preferred vendor for GE.
Feb 2004
Re-strategies application development to provide offshore
development services. Signs up the first offshore development
contract from a leading printing press in Chicago.
March 2005
Continues to develop several applications that includes
e-business systems, shopping carts, database management systems,
WBT's, school solutions, share point services for the customers
like Ayalogic, HRDA, Pinneast, Education Interface as their
offshore partners.
April 2005
Registers with STPI as a 100% software export house.
Nov 2005
Signs up a dedicated Share point development/support contract.
Develops the first kiosk based application with a flash
interface and .Net backend as a part of its. Delivers a highly
complex kiosk based system that integrates with multiple
hardware interfaces.
