Shop Floor Kiosk
The Need :
To develop a kiosk application that will be used to capture real-time timesheet and job tracking data on the production floor. The Shop-Floor Data Collection application needs to help an organization to setup Data Collection points throughout the Production Area using networked computers with bio-metric sensors (finger print reader). Also application needs to be integrated with another existing application which is used to generate various job and production reports.
The Solution :
A kiosk custom software was developed with fingerprint authentication. A failed authentication involves an approval process allowing the employee to self register on the system at the kiosk.
Application is developed with flash based rich UI and easy navigations so that employees can quickly key in the values. The application is also integrated to their existing system and shares the DB which is used for generating various reports.

Microsoft Access database, Microsoft SQL server 2005, Finger print API from Microsoft. Flash designing, Flash Action Scripting, Flash - .Net interactions.
