Client:
A Hong Kong-based infotech client providing various APIs (application programming interface) for different kinds of insurance, including for Property, Health, and Life teamed up with us for our expertise in developing robust and aesthetic frontend solutions. They wished to provide solutions to their own Hong Kong-based client by leveraging our frontend application expertise fused with their APIs as backend.
Challenge:
The client provided us with two kinds of APIs to work with: Office Plus, pertaining to insurance of the office and its constituents, which included any kind of damage to office property, injury or death of employees; and Interior Decoration Protection (IDP), which includes materials used in the interior of offices, for example glasses, chandeliers, false ceilings, and cubicles.
Our Strategy:
The idea of providing clients an appealing web application where they could swiftly navigate from generating a quote for their specific requirements to becoming insured. All the required data had to be duly filled, whereby an insurance summary and declaration would be generated, while options for buying included payment through QR, Credit Cards, and Online Bank Transfer.
Our Solution:
The primary challenge revolved around the UI/UX for several reasons. There were varying opinions within the client on freezing the platform’s look as per extant products available in the market and their own brand guidelines. The other challenge related to delivery, as at times there were requests for ad hoc releases on account of ongoing seminars, and it was challenging to evaluate and scope out the same, whereby the finalization took more than a month. Jira was used for project management between the concerned parties. Chimera used its frontend capacities for bringing together an elegant and uncluttered look to the APIs that were provided by the client.
Business Outcome:
Visually appealing and user-friendly frontend solution and seamless online experience, from generating quotes to purchasing insurance policies.
